Carreno, Maria Teresa

Maria Teresa Carreno(1853-1917), Venezuelan pianist, singer, composer and conductor(full name - Maria Teresa Carreno Garcia de Sena), born into a musical family, she studied with her father first then the family moved to New York in 1862 and at age of 8 she made her debut ai Irving Hall. In 1866 she moved to Europe and began touring, making her debut as an opera-singer in 1876. She also was a composer, she composed 40 works.
